McDonald’s-Style brainteaser may look simple, consisting of McDonald’s burgers and fries which made people starve for the right answer. This puzzle was posted on Facebook, a Philippines-based keril, who wrote 98% fails-‘Share first, only for geniuses, answer fast if you are a genius.’
The test asks you to solve an equation based on three sums provided.
More than 1,500 people answered, posting the error in responses. The main objective is to estimate how much each item is worth.
The first challenge is 3 drinks which add to a value of 30. Next, 2 burgers and 1 drink give total 20.
Finally, 4 portions of chips and one burger add up to nine.
The last one is to analyze information provided such that how much a burger and one portion of chips multiplied by a drink are worth.
Many didn’t notice the 3rd line has 2 portions of chips, while the 4th line only had 1.
HOW TO SOLVE IT
The question pops into your mind- how to solve McDonald’s-Style brainteaser? here is the answer:
From the 1st line, each drink is worth 10, while on the 2nd line, a burger is worth five.
On the 3rd, there is a total of 4 packets of chips, each packet worth one.
Finally, apply the rule that multiplication comes before addition, multiply the chips by the drink i.e., 10 before adding the burger by giving the answer as 15.
10+10+10 = 30
10+5+5 = 20
5+2+2 = 9
5+1×10 = 15
Rusty did not notice that the 4th sum involved 1 portion of chips and mixing the order of multiplication and addition, suggesting an answer of 70.
He got confused as he didn’t notice the 3rd sum involved 2 portions of chips, while the 4th line only had 1.
A hilarious response was given by Jesse Quinn who said: ‘McValue Lunch is the answer’.
